/ Why this matters
The list is short, boring, and identical everywhere.
Sit with any small business for a week and write down every inbound question. You will not get a long list. You will get about twenty, repeated in slightly different words, forever. That is precisely what makes it automatable — and why the cost is rarely the minutes themselves.
Each question arrives while you are doing something else. The interruption costs more than the answer.
- A 24-hour window opens from the customer's last message. Inside it you can reply freely. Outside it, only pre-approved templates.
- Every outbound message beyond that window must use a template approved by Meta before it can send.
- Meta's own messaging policy is the real enforcement layer — stricter, in practice, than TRAI's DND rules.
- Since 1 January 2026, India moved to per-message pricing, and marketing templates cost materially more than utility ones.

This matters for a practical reason: a front desk that answers inside the 24-hour window is cheap and unrestricted. One that reaches out cold is a different product with different rules — that is Outbound Campaign Automation, and it is deliberately separate.
What it costs you now
- "What time do you close?" for the ninth time today. You answer it anyway.
- Someone asks about stock while you are with a customer in front of you.
- "Where is my order?" arrives at 11 PM and waits until morning.
- The answer exists — in your catalogue, your courier's tracking page, or your head — but only you can fetch it.
What changes
- Stock, price, hours and order status answered from your own catalogue.
- In the customer's language, on the channel they already use.
- Anything it is not sure about stops and comes to you.
- You get the twenty-first question — the real one — and none of the first twenty.
/ Watch it work
The same twenty questions, in the language they were asked in.
Two minutes of an ordinary afternoon — including the question it hands back rather than guess at.
Illustration, not a live feed. Scene one: a Hinglish stock question at 2:14 PM answered in six seconds from the live catalogue — size, remaining quantity and price — followed by a delivery question answered from the pincode table. Scene two: an order-status question answered from the order record, then a fabric-composition question the catalogue does not cover, which the agent refuses to guess at and hands to a person.
/ How it works
The five buckets everything falls into.
- Availability
- Is it in stock, is that slot free, do you have my size. Answered against live catalogue data.
- Price
- How much, is there a discount, do you do bulk. It cannot invent a number — if the price is not in your data, it says so.
- Logistics
- What time do you close, where are you, do you deliver to my pin code.
- Status
- Where is my order, has it shipped, did my booking go through.
- Policy
- Can I return it, can I reschedule, what if it does not fit.
- The 21st
- Something specific, emotional, or a complaint. One line — "let me get the team on this" — and a handoff to you.
The quality of the agent is the quality of your catalogue. Businesses with tidy product data get a good front desk in a day. Businesses with prices in a WhatsApp thread and stock in someone's memory get a tidying job first — usually the most valuable part of the week.

Questions people actually ask.
Will it invent a price?
Does this replace my team?
What if my catalogue is a mess?
Does it work on my existing WhatsApp number?
/ The other agents
They hand off to each other.
Six specialists, one system, and none of them named after the model they run on — because that part gets replaced, repeatedly, and what they do for your business does not change when it does. Moving you onto the better one is the monthly Run’s job, not yours.
